The poem featured on the artwork is a translation from the Qawaali of Ustaadh Nusrat fateh Ali Khan named "Ali Ali Ali Maula Ali Ali".
During the Battle of Khaybar, the enemy struck Sayyiduna Ali so that his shield fell from his hand and he lost his shield. In need of a substitute, he picked up a door and used it to defend himself.
